The purpose of this discussion is to gather input on how Broward County can become more sustainable. Becoming a more sustainable community reduces our dependecy on foreign oil, promotes a healthy quality of life and protects the environment.

We would love to hear from you and what you think Broward County, your city and residents can do to help Broward County become more sustainable.  Below are a series of questions we would like you to answer. Broward County was recently awarded the coveted 4 Star rating for being a sustainable community. The County was the first in the nation to receive this certification and the largest community designated in the Country. In several years we hope to achieve an even higher rating. Your input is valuable to help us get to the next level and improve the community's sustainability rating.

What changes would encourage you to use public transportation more often?

How do you think the County should best be investing time, money, and other resources on environmental measures? While some new measures might have funding within existing budgets, part of what we want to determine is what measures have highest community priority and to what extent you would be willing to pay more for those initiatives.
